Bio -- Atole started out winter of 1998 when Manny Reyes was in NYC studying Art/Film @ Hunter and making experimental scores for student films. in 2000 Manny moved to Portland and started a live Atole version that briefly included Chris Piuma. In 2003 Atole became a quintet Theater ensemble- one Manny and 4 boomboxes! Each had their own persona and each played different musical sounds. 100 shows and 2 tours later Manny destroyed all the boomboxes during an argument at a Live show (R.I.P. Boomboxes + Towne Lounge)..

In 2006 Atole was asked to open for Matmos- Manny decided to form a Live band! Tim Ferrell was the first new member on keys and programming; then Mikey Conroy joined on drums Summer 2007; finally, Marius Libman (aka Copy) on electric bass late 2008! In 2009 Atole was signed to Audio Dregs Records with a debut LP coming late 2009. The band just completed a West Coast tour with homies Starfucker! Coming soon: a Split 7" with White Fang on their new label CHIPS! Sooner however- two New EP's, a New T-Shirt, and new Summer jams!
